As I come back from a much needed summer vacation, I was happy to see that the Money Tree grew by $95 for the month of July. I post my detailed financials here if you are interested in reviewing the books.
Much of the increase came from previous side hustles alongside an opportunity that I redeemed some hotel points for a $50 Amazon gift card. Normally I will use the travel points for airfare or hotel stays as these are the biggest bank for the buck, but in this instance…I merged miles/points from two vendors that I don’t use often, so I didn’t want to see them go to waste. I went back to an idea of using the Points.com site to do the exchange to a common platform and then cashed in the points.
