Blogging Tip: Simple Social Icons

Since I am starting up this blog, there is so much that I am learning beyond the personal financial advice that I am sharing.

There are so many resources out there to help you get your blog up and running, but that also can be problematic because I find myself drowning in information and not having enough time to research and implement all of my ideas. So I am going to try and take it slow, knowing that “Rome wasn’t built in one day”

With that, I want to share with you a really cool widget that I discovered in designing my blog and doing research. In starting on the structural setup of my blog, I am hosting through BlueHost and using WordPress. With WordPress, there are some many plugins and widgets that are available. The one that I would like to recommend is the Simple Social Icons widget for all beginners.

It is critical to attract readers for your blog, and the SimpleSocial Icons helps you enable connections back to all of the social media sites, making it easier for your readers to find and connect with you. That is another thing that I have learned as well, how many social media sites to you start and maintain for your blog? I have decided to start with Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest…I am sure there will be more as time goes on.

Here are some sites/articles that I researched:

WP Beginner: 25 Most Useful WordPress Widgets

EduBlogger: Popular Widgets for your Blog

Themeisle: Free Wordress Widgets

Please feel free to leave a comment and share your favorite widgets or online research.
