Turning your Hilton Points into Cash

While I was researching one of my previous posts on getting the most out of your awards programs, I came across some useful information that warranted its own post. With the Hilton Honors program, it provides the members the ability to convert their Hilton Honors points into an Amazon credit…just as good as cash in my eyes.

So, if you are not a frequent Hilton Honors member and don’t have the opportunity to transfer those points to a reward program that you are more loyal to, why not just transfer them to your Amazon account to be applied towards your next purchase.

There are a few options regarding your Hilton Honors points, but if you don’t want to give them to a family or friend…it is really easy to get them into your Amazon account. Just go to your Amazon account and link your Hilton Honors account and then you will see the ability to Shop with points for all future Amazon purchases. Here is the link if you need it: Amazon links to Hilton Honors

I will say, the conversion is not that exciting, something like $0.002 per point where a free night is around $0.004/point…So this should really only be used if you have no plan in the short term to use or redeem for a free night…or if you are really in need of some cash.
