By looking at all of the available Swagbucks emails, I found one interesting that provided a 287% return and did some good in the world. After donating $15 to the Sierra Club, Swagbucks rewarded me with 5,000 Swagbucks! Keep reading to see how the math works but it is super easy:
What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is a rewards program that gives you free gift cards and cash for things you already do online. I have been a member for some time and I enjoy it because it is easy and it works. By looking at the Money Tree, you will notice I have made $135 already with Swagbucks before this post. I also list it as one of my Top 10 best money ideas out there to get started with.
How do I get to 287%?
Here is the simple breakdown, donation of $15 gets you 5,000 Swagbucks after confirmation of payment in 35 days. Every swagbuck is worth $0.01, so the reward is worth $50. In my previous post, I mention that I prefer to deal with sites that you can cash out to Paypal or Amazon. Swagbucks provides both options but I chose Amazon for one reason. Every month you have the ability to get a $25 Amazon gift card for 2,200 Swagbucks or a 12% savings. With that, I convert that Swagbucks reward into $58 and after reducing the upfront donation, that is $43. $43 divided by $15 yields 287%, it is that simple.
