Free Money: Selling Coupons Online

Here is another idea for those readers who like free money with little effort. Do you often get junk mail in your mailbox? Well, don’t rush to put all those mail circulars right into your recycling bin…sometimes there are some valuable items in there, like coupons.

I often look out for certain coupons that have some real discounting power with them and if I don’t have a need for them in the immediate future, I will go and post it for sale online, specifically Ebay. Ebay is a great forum to test out if something will sell or not. You can search to see if there have been any previous winning bids for a similar item/coupon to get a sense of there is a market for your item.

With coupons, Ebay does have a policy of only being able to sell 25 coupons per month/user…so be selective as some folks often rush to go to the Sunday paper and start clipping. I like to find those individual coupons that carry a nice value proposition to list, such as Lowes, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond etc….

I often just listed two coupons and was able to pocket $4.50 for two coupons after fees…not bad for about 10 minutes worth of work….
