How I made almost $3,000 with this blog!

It has been almost 18 months since I started Shake the Money Tree and I have made almost $3,000 in revenue. From the onset of this blog, my main goal was to test many of the various ways of making money, mainly through online and passive income approaches. It is working and I am even more excited for the months ahead.

Here is how I did summarized in 4 major revenue sources:

#1. Cash Back Rewards totaling $1,716 Life to Date, representing 59% of total

The majority of these savings come from the use of my two cash back credit cards with Chase and Discover. I also track my cash back from Rakuten and various apps in this bucket.

#2. Various Side Hustles totaling $905 LTD, representing 31% of total

The biggest source here is my utilization of selling old items through Ebay/Craigslist/Letgo sites. I aim to list one item per month, scouring to see what I have no more use for.

#3. Paid to Click Sites earning $245 LTD or 8%

These sites are one of the easiest sources of revenue but do not pay that much. I am not a huge fan of surveys, so I make most of the money through watching videos or clipping online coupons. I do these small micro tasks alongside other activities. Swagbucks is my top pick here.

#4. Interest and Dividend Income of $51 or 2%

This is my passive income sources of revenue and do expect this to grow. I have expanded into the dividend stock world after I had line of sight to finishing my CD ladder for the site.

As mentioned earlier, I look forward to the months ahead on how I can expand my finances into the investment pyramid as I look to continue to increase my overall monthly revenue.
