Best Credit Card Cash Rewards for to the Money Tree

Here is another great opportunity, $1,000 worth, to feed your money tree with credit card cash rewards. I recently have taken advantage of the American Express Gold Card signup benefits and also able to get the Limited Edition Rose Gold card in my wallet…sweet! Earnings potential of 60,000 Membership points and $200 in statement credits.

Why another card for the Money Tree?

When looking at the Money Tree Height, I realize that a significant amount of my earnings comes from Cash Back Credit Cards. In this low interest rate environment, there are so many offers to capture….as long as you have the discipline. This AMEX Gold Card offer was too good to pass up even though it does require an annual membership fee. I still net a significant positive after that annual fee. Plus I was able to put this Rose Gold Card in my wallet, so cool!!!

How it works?

After signing up with the American Express Gold Card, you will earn 60,000 Membership Rewards after you spend $4,000 within 6 months. That is less that $670 a month if you were to redirect your credit car purchases for that timeframe. In addition, you will receive $200 back in statement credits that help offset the $250 annual fee.

How much will I add to the Money Tree?

So here is what I am looking to add to the Money Tree:

  • 60,000 points is equal to roughly 1.8 cents per point or roughly $1,000
  • $200 in online statement credits
  • Less: $250 annual fee
  • Nuetral: Points earned on AMEX less Cash Back on Chase cash back

So let’s call it almost $1,000 that I will be adding to the Money Tree with this great choice…..Love it!

I will also be on the lookout for more options as once I extinguish this $4,000 spending reward, I am sure there are other new credit card options out there.

Important!!!

This is probably the most important section of this post…This only works for individuals who can exhibit credit card discipline. If you normally carry a credit card balance over month to month, this isn’t for you. The credit card interest on any balance will almost negate any rewards opportunities.
